The trick to choosing your wardrobe is to make sure that your outfits are not too busy. I suggest choosing one or two patterns and adding solids and textures that compliment your color palette.
Your color palette should include 2-3 colors maximum. These can include different hues of the same colors; for example, light pinks paired with darker hues of berry and wine, or light chambray blues paired with Navy, accompanied by creamy neutrals and textures to add dimension to your outfits.
Textures add dimension and beauty to your photos. I love adding dimension to outfitting with textures, and I suggest that you add multiple textures to your portrait wardrobe! Some textures I love are lace, corduroy, knits, chambray, gauze, crepe fabrics, velvets, Swiss dots, and waffle knits.
